Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

                                                                                                                                                         -Carl Sagan
The Hocking Lab at Frostburg State focuses on understanding population dynamics of amphibians and reptiles, with particular emphasis on providing natural resource managers with the necessary information to make good decisions. We use quantitative methods to distinguish ecological and observational processes and to characterize uncertainty. We branch out to other taxa when our skills can help other research projects and management decisions.
