Check out our two new small mammal papers:
We are currently recruiting multiple graduate students for Fall 2017. One potential research project is part of a regional collaborative with USGS and various universities call SPARCnet (Salamander Population and Adaptation Research Collaboration Network). It involves spatial capture-recapture of salamanders using coverboards. You can read more about the project at: http://seansterrett.wixsite.com/sparcnet. A second project is another spatial capture-recapture project with pond turtles. As a statistical ecologist, I also have a number of collaborative projects with other researches on taxa including fish, birds, and small mammals.
Students will be supported with Teaching Assistantships. There are additional opportunities for students with their own funding through NSF, EPA, or other fellowships. Please contact me if you are interested in any of these projects and include a description of your research interests and experience along with a resume that includes your GPA.
